Welcome to St. John, the Island of Beauty and Serenity
Get out and explore the paradise that you have discovered. Take a boat to the various surround Bays, go shopping or take a bike ride on the coast, possibilities await you.
Ride a boat to Coral Bay. It is a great anchorage for sightseers wanting to enjoy some refreshing cocktails on the sand or take in a traditional island snack, before heading on to your next sightseeing destination. Hurricane Hole is great for people looking to get away from the touristy hustle and bustle, surrounded by the National Park and scattered population.
Want to see the ocean up close and personal? Take an afternoon out to Lameshur Bay. Comprised of Little Lameshur and Great Lameshur, both bays offer scenic shorelines and wonderful snorkeling options. Since it required such a long drive, they bays are usually unpopulated and isolated, providing a very romantic surrounding.
Denis Bay is another very dimly populated shoreline. It is strictly accessible by trail or boat, which makes it difficult for a lot of people to happen upon it. The trail that you can take to get there begins at Peace Hill trail and leads down to the western point of the bay. It is also part of the National park, and includes another great spot for snorkeling. Make sure that you don’t forget to pack a lunch and some snacks, with plenty of water, because there are no shops or amenities for you to take advantage of. Denis Bay requires more of an adventurous spirit and ruggedly minded person.
